Whelan's Marina
Whelan’s Marine is a full service marina that includes boat sales, certified technician service, parts sales, marine supplies and accessories, slip rentals, a ship store, boat ramp, travel lift and campground. Family-owned and operated, Whelan’s Marina is located halfway between Warsaw and Kilmarnock just off of Route 3 on Hales Point Road in Farnham, Virginia on the Rappahannock River.
Whelan’s purchased two 4’ Patriotic Lighthouses to use to help celebrate a sales promotional it was having on its boats. These lighthouses are handmade of exterior plywood, so they are durable – even in marine environments. The lighthouses provided both a nautical theme and reinforced the patriotic spirit that was important to the event. The lighthouses added value to the event, and provided Whelan’s with unique dockside symbols thereafter. After all, every marina needs a lighthouse!
